Happy Easter Greetings! + Giant Waterslides | Backpacker Mix

April 09, 2012

Hi everyone! Happy Easter to all of you! :)

Just wanted to greet you, even if it's a bit late... How's your long weekend so far? Mine's still long, since I'm getting bored and there's nothing much to occupy me except for my loving baby and husband. I mean it's not annoying, but sometimes I feel so sad with me having not much of a routine. I miss schoolworks, doing assignments and feeling the cramming season. I miss dreading the vacation to be over, and all other rants about schooling that you can possibly think of. Sorry, just looking for a place to vent my frustration on things.

On a happier note, yesterday, we celebrated our Easter by going to Splash Mountain Resort located in Pansol Los Baños, Laguna. It was the BOMB :) I haven't been 1to the said resort and it was my first time to slide down their giant waterslides, the ones named Typhoon and Hurricane. They also have a slide that you can use with those plastic inflatables, (I forgot the right word for it but it's like a lifebuoy I guess) and it's name is Twister, and another slide, named Tornado, is your average twister slide minus the plastic inflatables.

Typhoon and Hurricane (yellow and orange, respectively. Photo taken from their site)

Why they are named after winds and storms, I do not know, but the giant ones are up 80 ft. and it's reaaaaaallly high.. The Typhoon slide is the less steeper of the two, is colored yellow, and has a couple of not so steep slopes.. I made the sign of the cross 3 times I think when I was up, and upon riding down the slide, I actually felt more alive. :) My pichi is actually the reason why I prompted to go and slide, he dared me actually...why I agreed, I still can't phathom the answer, but anyways I'm glad I did. Then, for the real challenge, he also persuaded me to try out the Hurricane slide, and, well, because of the dare, and the fact that I love him to bits and having trust in him finally did me in. Hurricane has one really seriously steep slope, with a cover on one side, and open on the other... and what a splash you get before you end the trip. It was one hell of a ride, and it was probably the most fun slide that I have ridden... YET. XD

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention all the food... we had lots of barbeque and hotdogs and chips and indian mangoes with alamang... YUM. But I still wanna go to the slide... I can't get it out of my head..

Going home was a bit of a hassle cause we were stuck for about 1.5 hours in Calamba, because of the Fiesta going on, and our ride had a broken aircon so it was soooo freaking hot. But aside from that it was all smiles, and I hope your long vacation also ended with lots and lots of laughter and smiles.. ^^

ending this post with a photo of my daughter doing the facepalm... ^^
