Food trip: Banana Que + Legend of Korra chapter 10

June 17, 2012

Hello everyone! :) Happy dad's day to all fathers and soon to be out there! :) While I am writing this post I am currently waiting for my pichi to return home from his hunt for the epic banana que. What is it with women having cravings before having their you know...?!

On a brighter side of things, I just watched the latest episode of the Legend of Korra, "Turning the Tides" and might I just say that the building suspense of what to happen next is really really annoying and at the same time exiting.

Korra, The new avatar

To those who are not familiar with what I am blabbing about here, I have been a fan of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series and the Legend of Korra is it's sequel. It's currently being aired in the US (I think, not really sure) through Nickelodeon, and it has not yet arrived in the Philippines. But because The Last Airbender is one of the few cartoon series that I love (aside from Naruto, which is second), I was super elated when I found out that they are finally showing the sequel to the series. So I waited, but it wasn't even announced on Nickelodeon here in the Philippines, so I became a bit depressed about it...

The Original Team Avatar

Now, my pichi is a pirate... err, I mean he downloads movies from piratebay, and yes, I know that it is bad and all, but I really really wanted to watch it and there was no sign of the Legend of Korra here. And I just can't wait for the release which would probably be a long time after it has finished in the US, so that's what we did.

Turning the Tides is a really really exciting episode, which shows what happened to Korra and the gang after being captured from Tarrlok and after being almost taken captive to the main Antagonist of the show, Amon. He's this equalist leader who knows how to take a bender's element bending away. Another thing that happens here is that Penma, Tenzin's(Aang's son) wife gives birth to a baby boy named Rohan.

Unfortunately, Equalists have gotten stronger and they took over Republic city and Air Temple Island. Lin Beifong's (Toph's daughter) is captured while trying to save the evacuating air bending family and is taken away of her bending by Amon. Avatar Korra and her gang also escape and a descendant of Zuko, is coming over with the United Forces ( United Republic of Nations' main line of defense against the nation's enemies) to try and stop the incoming war.

Lin Beifong: as tough as her mom Toph

All I can say is that it was really nice to see somebody powerful from the Fire nation again since it always seemed that while Republic city was under siege by Equalists, there was no one powerful enough to take them on.

And here comes my pichi with 6 pieces of the Php7.00  banana que... YAY! :)

How bout you, are you also a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender? what are your thoughts? :)

till next time!
xoxo,
nicole

  1. Been watching Korra and the gang and I really think that Mako is hot! Haha! Though I really like the plot they made for the series, I think that they compressed it too much to the point that the character development was poorly made. Like, Mako chooses this girl then ignores her because the other one was in danger... well, you know what I mean! Haha! It was just too rushed!

  2. I know what you mean... 26 episodes is just not enough. If only they could make it into a 3-book series like it's predecessor then we'd all be more happy. hahaha! :) have you seen the comic book "The Promise" ?? :)
