The restaurant behind those delicious Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf cakes,
Classic Confections is now in the South! Specifically in
Solenad 3 Nuvali. Classic Confections also has a branch in Greenbelt I think, which I've heard people go to just because their cakes and cookies are phenomenal.

So in Classic Confections, Nuvali, I got to try out a couple of their cakes, and saw much of their pastries and cookies. They have cookies shaped to be Belle and the other characters of Beauty and the Beast like Lumiere, Mrs. Potts and the Beast himself.

Their cakes are great. If you are a chocoholic, you are sure to love
Nono's Chocolate Oblivion because it is full of different textured and tastes of chocolate. There's choco mousse in the middle and caramel crunch around the cake. Also, it's more of a slightly bitter and really sweet taste that would be a perfect pair to a kapeng barako or black coffee, no sugar.
Also, Nono's Chocolate oblivion is also perfect for your sister or girlfriend
who is almost or on her period because #CHOCOLATE GOODNESS :D

Sylvia's Strawberry Shortcake on the other hand is the opposite of how robust the flavors of Nono's Chocolate oblivion is. Sylvia's Strawberry Shortcake is quite delicate to the taste, with an icing that is to die for as it is not overtly sweet, the center part you can really taste the tangy sweet strawberry and the cake itself has a light fluffy feel with every bite.
The branch in Nuvali though, I find to be a little too camped. It really is more of a "take out" place and not a great place to dine if you are a big group. For casual dates though, this place is perfect. :D
I'm a sucker for sweets so stores like this is my happy place. Love the feel of the strawberry shortcake, it gives a delicate and sweet impression. Glad to know Classic Confections is booming, tried their cakes in CBTL, but would live to on an actual store. I hope I can soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep torturing myself! I love sweets and cakes are at the top of the list. This is all the way in the South though! I guess I'll have to settle for the one in Greenbelt.
ReplyDeleteMy mom and boyfriend would join forces when they'd tell me that I'm such a sweet tooth! As I started reading your post, I literally grabbed some cake from my fridge. I enjoyed reading cause I've been looking for new bakeshops or pastry shops that sell yummy cakes! I so want to try the donuts and Nono's Chocolate Oblivion asap!
