OPPO F3 Plus Full Review + Unboxing | Better Shots and Great Memories await

Hey! What's up? :D If you've been following my facebook page and account you would notice that I am currently testing out the capabilities of OPPO's first Phone in the F3 Series, the F3 Plus.

For initial purposes, I made an unboxing video of the unit. You can check it out here:

THE CAMERA

Okay, so the unit itself is pretty sleek, and  OPPO gave their own interpretation of the dual camera bandwagon with their two front lenses. Combining a narrow and a wide FOV gives us more OPPOrtunities for better selfies, and the birth of the Groufie Cam which gives us a chance to get a proper shot with the barkada or family. This is due to their latest Selfie Cam, which sports a 16MP sensor with a bright and crisp f/2.0 aperture alongside the wide-angle 8MP shooter. Pretty perfect for those quick snap travel shots or when you just wanna capture the moment with friends and family. Pretty stable, not much shakey photos so this feature of theirs gets a big thumbs up. <3

I have been using the OPPO F3 Plus and as far as photos go, it is a pretty nice competitor and photo enthusiasts are sure to also enjoy the back camera, as it got an overhaul from it's predecessors like my F1s.

Yes,  it still has a 16MP sensor but it's upgraded with a f/1.7 gap for better depth of field and double PDAF which helps with adjusting of light before taking photos. PDAF gives rapid focus in daylight and catches sharp and satisfying stills. The shading precision of photographs are additionally on point and is certainly a decent back shooter, even in lowlight conditions.

On videos it is also pretty cool and sassy, as it can capture not just full HD but also 4k. AW YEAH. <3

On design and display, we are handling a unit that has a 6 inch display- pretty big and sharp enough with the IPS LCD panel sporting a Full HD resolution or a pixel density of 367pp. The display is pretty saturated but all I gotta say is that when it comes to posting photos taken with the Oppo F3 Plus, the colors you see is what you get. <3 LCD is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch resistance and added durability.

The antenna bands are split into 3 instead of one solid strip and this design is pretty cool cause it stays true to being minimalist..

The design is pretty simple, akin to an iPhone 6/6s, which I really like cause before I switched to Oppo I was using an iPhone, and it's pretty easy to use. Felt like the brainchild of an android + iPhone to be honest, and I'm loving it.

The loudspeakers that fire down from the phone is pretty loud and has a good depth when playing movies and Everwing- err- games on the phone.

The handset has 64GB internal storage, which you'll have to take in consideration that when you get any phone, you won't really get all that storage because of the os installed. In the case of the OPPO F3 Plus, after the boot, 52.27GB is accessible to the user. Still pretty big. :p

Now I'm not much of a gamer, but I do know that the OPPO F3 Plus is in an upper midrange area when it comes to performance and gameplay cause it can handle multiple apps just fine, and my Everwing DOES NOT LAG one bit. I've seen my co bloggers play games that have heavy graphics and it's pretty smooth sailing.

This is due to the Snapdragon 653 (my husband said that it makes it an octacore with a maximum speed of 1.9GHz, whatever that means :p), Adreno 510GPU for graphics chip and 4GB of RAM for memory. All I know is that if you have great videochip and big memory(not storage cause that's different), you won't have any problems. :)

And the BATTERY of the OPPO F3 Plus is so awesome cause it can withstand the whole day, with one simcard on data + wifi. I don't have much problems of getting lowbat while out and about the metro cause of this. Plus that VOOC Fast charge? Man! I've been spoiled for other units. hahaha!

Overall, the F3 Plus not only gives us pretty quality shots but awesome performance as well, not just for photos but as an all over phone. I'd say that price point of Php 23,999 is well worth it and I have already recommended this to friends and family. <3

  1. OPPO comes with some promising features. This one too will not disappoint I am sure. The picture quality especially that of selfie looks great. I have an earlier model of OPPO which is functioning quite well.

  7. I currently have the counterpart of that one, the Vivo V5 Plus. It's great for selfies too but it doesn't have a groupie mode. I like its bokeh feature though. As for the oppo, I know that it's nice for gaming because even the lowest phone model can withstand the gaming speed I prefer.
