Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara | Nitty Gritty Reviews

Hi there! This mascara is one of my current Holy Grail products as I really am loving the performance of the Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. It was given to me by my tita as a gift a few days before Christmas, and it's in sample size. I loved this baby at first swipe, and it's not just because of the sentimental value!

The Nitty Gritty:

Magnifies lashes to twice their size. Thickens them to maximum volume. In minimum time. Unique tapered brush finds every lash. For bigger, better lashes. Ophthalmologist tested.

 Packaging/Price:

The packaging is a shiny blue-silver color accompanied with silver writing, which can make it hard for some people to read it. I saw in Lazada that this sells for Php 1500.00 (Full size) which I feel is more of a luxury. XD Unfortunately, I tried to look for this in the Clinique store in Robinson's Manila and they don't carry said brand.. :(

The brush is intended for a full volumizing look, thus the short heavy bristles. This is supposed to give a heavier coverage for your lashes and coat even the tiniest strand to make your lashes look fuller.

Swatches/Longevity:



This mascara is in the color black, and I did the smudge and water test here. Above is the mascara once dried..



Here it is smudged lightly, as light as when one will scratch their eyes(and please refrain from doing so as it can cause premature eyelash loss. )



Water test. So you don't really have to use a heavy duty makeup remover for this. YAS!!!

Below I'll be showing you how the mascara worked on me. Please take not that I have average length lashes, albeit a bit thick already and they won't stay curled up even if I use an eyelash curler.

Please take note that what I love in a mascara is how it can outline my lashes but not make it look like spider legs, as I am all for that natural look. You know, the one where it doesn't really look like you're wearing mascara at all? Instead people will ask if you had eyelash extensions or something cause they look pretty natural. :)

I usually stop at two coats cause it is when I get my desired volume from this product. See how it accentuated my lashes without making it look like spider legs? This mascara is <3!

This can last for around 12 hours on me. Yeah, I get the high price tag now- you're paying for quality. I do have oily lids so that's a pretty good performance for a mascara. It doesn't smudge, and this is not waterproof. Although I already cried a couple of times while this mascara was on and it did not let me down(A.K.A. no panda eyes! YAY!)

Over all:

As I said it's my Holy Grail mascara (so far) so if I ever get the money to buy myself this, then yes, I will get it AGAIN. :)
