If there’s one buffet that made me feel like I stepped straight into a fiesta, it’s the new Tex-Mex Buffet at Riviera Café in The Heritage Hotel Manila! From DIY tacos and nachos, yes, with all the dips—but I went straight for the guac and Pico de gallo! to tender goat barbacoa and smoky tuna, beef, seafood and pork BBQ delights, every bite felt like a warm, and a lil bit spicy hug. And with an El Mariachi duo serenading the crowd and mojitos flowing non-stop (if you grab the unlimited add-on, of course), the vibes were festive, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable.

Launched last July 4, 2025, this buffet is set to redefine your weekend dining experience with a spread that includes burritos, tamales, and fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs—all served in a lively, music-filled atmosphere that turns dinner into a full-blown celebration.

I am absolutely obsessed with the “make-your-own taco” station. You can pile them high with whatever your heart desires, from juicy grilled meats to that crispy goodness of fried fish, and of course, endless dips to bring the whole thing to life. My personal favorite? A generous scoop of guacamole, pico de gallo and lotsa cheese. It's creamy, flavorful, and adds that perfect touch of freshness to my taco. But trust me, you can’t go wrong with whatever combo you choose.

And the buffet doesn’t stop there. Let’s not forget the BBQ beef, pork, and seafood, which are grilled to perfection—pork dishes cooked poolside, keeping everything halal-certified for an inclusive experience. The baby back ribs? Unreal. So tender that they practically fall off the bone, they’re packed with smoky, tangy flavors that’ll leave you wanting more. I also love how they treated my grilled buttered garlic tuna and seafood, it was perfectly cooked that I went for thirds and fourths LOL.

 

Their carving stations and its flavors are also themed, and are all still as delicious as always.

But what really makes this buffet so special is the atmosphere. From the moment you step into Riviera Café, you’re swept into the kind of festive energy you’d find at a true fiesta. There's also an El Mariachi duo, whose lively music fills the room with a rhythmic, celebratory vibe. The best part? The dining crowd is just as lively. The Tex-Mex Buffet is available Thursday to Saturday from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and for those who prefer a Sunday lunch, you can enjoy it every Sunday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. It's priced at PHP 2,198 net per person, with a 50% discount for children aged 6-12 (PHP 1,098 net).
