Back and Bigger Than Ever: TOYCON PH Celebrates 22 Iconic Years

TOYCON PH, the Philippines’ biggest and longest-running pop culture convention, is back for its 22nd year with the theme of “Celebration” in partnership with MINDstyle's POP LIFE Festival. Celebrate all aspects of pop culture from games, cartoons and movies to even nostalgic and classic PC games.

Happening from June 13 to 15, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, this year’s event promises to be the largest and most exciting yet, uniting fans of toys, collectibles, games, cosplay, music, and more in one unforgettable experience.

TOYCON expands even further by embracing the trading card game (TCG), cosplay, and battle gaming communities. 

The dealer floor will feature over 400 exhibitors and vendors, offering a wide array of collectibles from classic favorites to the latest toy innovations. Attendees will also witness the Philippine launch of new brands such as MINDstyle’s Collectormates and ThrillJoy, as well as Infinite Brands’ Minix, CaDa, Rastar, and more. These new arrivals will join well-loved brands like LEGO, Bandai, Banpresto, Tamashii Nations, Bandai Namco, and Legendary Beast Studios.

As always, TOYCON is the go-to destination for exclusive, limited-edition collectibles. This year’s highlights include event exclusives from Quiccs, ThrillJoy, Collectormates, and a special VOLTES V collectible. 

For the first time ever, the NBA brand will be part of TOYCON, offering official apparel and merchandise to sports collectors and basketball fans.

Music lovers can look forward to the return of TOYCONCert, featuring a vibrant mix of international and local performances. The 2025 lineup includes crowd favorites like Starmarie, Miura Ayme with Miko, Pastel Mix, Saya, Shane Shen, Beverly, and many more.

CosKon, TOYCON’s signature cosplay competition

Cosplay will also take center stage with the return of CosKon, TOYCON’s signature cosplay competition. This year also introduces the International Art Toy Design Competition, where the winning design will be produced by MINDstyle as a premium collectible. Attendees can meet renowned local and international cosplayers such as Een, Liabear, Kitz Cua, Pompomny, Tiny Asa from Vietnam, Chanel Yui from Singapore, and Eri and Riela from Indonesia. A dedicated cosplay area will be available, offering a vibrant space for fans to express their creativity.

TOYCON 2025 Guest Line Up

TOYCON 2025 is also hosting an incredible lineup of guests from the world of anime and tokusatsu. Special appearances include Ryota Ozawa and Yui Koike from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. Fans of anime will be thrilled to meet legendary Japanese voice actors like Miyuki Ueda, known for her work in Voltes V and Daimos; Rica Matsumoto, the iconic voice of Ash in Pokémon and Yami Bakura in Yu-Gi-Oh!; and Yuriko Yamaguchi, who voices beloved characters such as Nico Robin in One Piece and Ritsuko Akagi in Evangelion.

In a very special reunion, TOYCON will present the full cast of the One Piece Tagalog voice actors for an exclusive meet and greet. Fans can meet and interact with the talented voices behind Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates, and gain insight into the local dubbing industry through a special panel session.

The Artist Alley returns bigger than ever with over 100 featured artists, including local toy designers, illustrators, and creators offering original art and merchandise. It’s a celebration of Filipino creativity and a perfect place to support the local art scene.

A highlight for hobbyists, TOYCON will once again host its signature contests, including the action figure customization contest, mecha design challenge, doll dress-up, toy photography, cosplay photography, and art toy design competition. These contests continue to spotlight the passion and talent within the community, with great prizes up for grabs.

Fans of trading card games will enjoy the new TCG Alley, featuring over 60 vendors where you can buy, sell, and trade cards and accessories. TOYCON has partnered with Mana Underground to present top-tier tournaments and hobby experiences, offering exciting prizes and community bragging rights.

Another anticipated moment is the announcement of the Pinoy Pop Culture Icon Awardee for 2025. This honor recognizes individuals who have significantly shaped Filipino pop culture. Previous awardees include Mars Ravelo, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Pol Medina, Berlin Manalaysay, Michael V., and Bigboy Cheng. The 2025 honoree will be revealed during the event.

In a nostalgic twist, classic PC games such as Starcraft, Counter-Strike 1.3, and DoTA 1 will return as part of a tournament experience hosted by Republic of Gamers. One classic game will be featured each day, giving longtime fans a chance to relive gaming history.
