Yeah, I do believe that I had a pretty awesome food week the past few days, and who wouldn't be hyped when you can finally get to meet one of your idol chefs work in the kitchen live, and help you create yumminess in the kitchen with real easy recipes?!


Don't get me wrong, being a mom I do know how to create the basic dishes and I can make magic with left overs in the kitchen, but when it comes to actually making edible food from scratch, the only things that I can make are: Adobo, Sinaing na Tulingan and Pork Bistek. I can't even master the art of Kapampangan Asado which my Husband is so fond of.

So I was pretty ecstatic last July 25, as Yummy Magazine, the number 1 food magazine in the Philippines, and Kitchenaid premium kitchen appliances teamed up for the 2nd wave of their mouthwatering Cooking Demo. And the chef to be our teacher that day? Chef Gino Gonzalez, the country’s most sought-after chefs and the COO and Head Instructor at the Centre for Asian Culinary Studies.


Before the cooking demo by Chef Gino started, avid Yummy magazine readers and food fanatics such as myself were able to make 3 delicious recipes using Kitchenaid appliances. The Kitchenaid 13-Cup Food Processor was perfect for making Tinapa Paté, which by the way is my favorite! As in pinapak ko na siya cause I can't get enough of the stuff hehehe.. Just throw in some stuff like cream cheese, tinapa, garlic and parsley, Pulse and spread on your pandesal or favorite sandwich!

Hi! Just wanted to show you guys how I like to dress up on a family day sans weekend date with the Pichi. So my motto for dressing up especially when going out with the kids is "Comfort before Style", so no high heels and it should be something I can move in freely.

I've been through a lot of changes, and one aspect of that *points to all of myself*  has gone through the most of the said changes are my melons. Okay, my breasts. hehehe..

I've been a teen, a breastfeeding mom and then the inevitable happened: My breasts became sad. Err, saggy I mean.


I think this is due to the normal process of pregnancy and not really with the breasfeeding part, but now I'm  finding myself at a loss on how to get the right bra for me cause of that.


Fortunately, while derping around the internet, I came across Freshpair.com which is an online shop that not only sells bras but also gives out advice on how to get that perfect fit of bra for your breasts. :)


I came across their article which explains some of the common breast changes and also a few exercises that is meant to help give the breasts that little lift that they need...

When I see chinese food I always assume that it's with finesse and class, and when I think of "Fast food" chinese food, it's gonna be Chowking, which really is just a shadow of what authentic chinese food is like. But when it comes to Wa Ying Dimsum, I must say that it broke my expectations when it comes to their food.

The taste of authentic Chinese food is there, but is served at a faster than usual pace of the classier restaurants which is a big plus. Here's what we had for that day:



Wanton Soup: This can be ordered as a for sharing dish or just the wantons itself, you can have it steamed or fried... The soup itself is full of that savory and sweet from the seafood flavor that is done in the dish. This is perfect as it had rained that day we had our foodie meetup. :)



Pork Asado : Very sweet and the pork is quite tender. As always with most Chinese dishes, this is a great pair to what's below...



...their Yang Chow Fried Rice! Super full of the chorizo bits and little meaty shrimps, and the egg too! This should have that motto "Kanin pa lang, ULAM na"... hehehe



Soy Chicken? Get it at Wa Ying Dimsum!! Very savory and felt like I was eating something from a posh Chinese restaurant. Although to be honest, I have to concede the best chicken flavor that they have goes to...

I noticed that lately, I'm recently into writing more about restaurant reviews and what I make in the kitchen at the moment instead of doing beauty reviews. I blame it on summer ,as I hate putting on piles of makeup on my face if it's really unbearably hot outside... But really, I want to share with you guys the reason why I think the food review community is so in the trend right now, and what exactly is the benefits of reading said food reviews for a woman and mom such as myself...

Usually, we head on to the usual fast food restaurants for special occasions, and before there were food reviews my pichi and I were not into trying out new restaurants cause:

• we didn't know if it's just right or the restaurant's price might be over our budget


• maybe the serving wouldn't be enough


• another dilemma of mine is that the quality and taste of the food is not that good. So we'd rather not explore until we hear from friends their reaction to said restaurant and they give us recommendations..

But now, with food reviews at just a tap on our smartphone or the blogging community, it's easier to look for restaurants that might interest us with their serving and quality of food cause we have already read from other people's experiences. I love reading about the next possible secret place that pichi and I will visit and make new memories with.

I also love trying out different types of cuisines all over the world, and with the food and restaurant reviews all over the internet, I can easily pick from which restaurant I would like to try out next.

The conference meant to address various issues and concerns regarding the protection of the welfare and development of minor “housemates” in the television program “Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) 737” (and as regards other concerns about self-regulation).

 
Such issues and concerns were covered by the Board’s 03 July 2015 letter sent to said entities alleging complaints or feedback coming from some parents as well as the National Youth Commission (NYC) in regard to, among others, the cable 24/7 version of the program and its regular free TV version over Channel 2.

1. Why and how long ago did you start blogging?

I started blogging cause I wanted to record my journey into the modeling world (circa December 2011), then I decided that it wasn't for me, but I loved to write and do makeup, so it stuck with me. I started blogging around February of 2012, then stopped by late 2013 and now I'm back again, not just for makeup but for food and fashion as well...

Decided to finally post this along with the digitally colored version of my drawing before, and I'm currently in the process of typing out chapter 4 of this series... I really am "shipping" #JElsa or Jack Frost and Elsa aside from a couple more, and well, I just hope that I get to finish this series at least... Here we go! Hope you like it...

The Student Media Congress (SMC), on its third year, will open its gates once more to students and media practitioners who want to learn and experience the world of media through a two-day congress on October 16-17, 2015 that will take place in De La Salle University-Manila.



With the theme, Experiencing Media Dynamics, the Congress will offer 5 plenary talks, 15 Competing and 60 Non-Competing workshops on a wide variety of topics that consistently and constantly challenge the status quo to innovate and grow. The Congress team will once again summon an army of media experts to share knowledge that can be created through the transformation of experience. The Congress will challenge the delegates to think about how they can reach their audiences through all the different senses and make them experience what the landscape has to offer.

I'm more of a traditional girl when it comes to my drawings, but I did try to color it digitally via my iPhone. Yep. #MedyoMatyaga. :3 I'll post the colored one when I post the first part of the story in this blog.. ;)

Me and pichi were up and out a few of nights ago cause I was starving and wanted to eat. So we decided to try out this restaurant that's a couple of blocks away from our place near Bamboo Organ Church in Las Pinas. At first it was looking so-so on the outside, but curiosity got the better of myself and I urged him to have our nightsnack in A-Rest-Tea Place...



A-Rest-Tea Place on the outside looks like any tea house, except for their eye catching decor that will make you curious about what really IS going on inside. I found that this is a really fun place to just relax, enjoy a cuppa milktea and chill with friends. I think it's a teen/young adult's relaxing place with the swings as part of their seats...



They also have tables that is purposely made for guests to sit indian style... I loved that part cause it's sure to let you start your journey to relax yourself hehe..



They also have a few board games and cards that you can borrow while waiting for your drink.



Their food is like REALLY AFFORDABLE. With their finger foods starting from 25.00Php up to 60.00Php, and as for the milk tea, they serve quite a variety of flavors. From fruit teas and classic milk teas starting at 45.00 Php up to 100.00 Php, and you can even have them as a frappè for an additional 15-20.00Php . :)

CFL Lightbulbs have been with us for quite some time now, but as time goes on, technology and innovation gets better solutions for our everyday lives. Thus with regards to our household lights, CFL is innovated and has a now a sister known to be LED Lightbulbs...

So what exactly is the difference of these two types of lightbulbs and how can you tell which is better for your home?

 

CFL vs. LED:

• CFL is short for Compact Fluorescent Lightbulb is your mini version of a standard fluorescent light bulb. LED or Light Emitting Diodes was introduce several years back with the promise of lowering your electric bill. According to the study made by Lighting Research Center, LED light bulbs work by bringing together currents with a positive and negative charge to create energy released in the form of light. The result of this is a fast source of light that is reliable and instantaneous.


•  CFL gives lighting efficiency and has been used for decades now, it also fits perfectly in an ordinary socket without using an adaptor, just like it's sister the LED.


• CFLs normally takes a few moments to warm up and reach its full brightness. LED lightbulbs on the other hand are as bright as they can be, up as soon as you switch it on.


• CFL might cost less but it requires you to buy more bulbs over time whereas LED lights last longer, so even though you’re paying more at purchase, you buy fewer bulbs in the long run.


• Considering the humid weather in the Philippines, we should also consider that CFL bulb emits more heat than LED bulb, thus, by choosing wisely, you can reduce the heat index in your home.

 

However, CFLs contain a small amount of mercury which normally does not cause any hazard but if the bulb breaks accidentally, that’s where the problem comes in. Mercury has been banned in the medical field due to its harmful effect on human health. On the other hand, LED bulbs is considered good for the environment and are endorsed by green movements. This is due to the lower energy consumption from LED bulbs which also decreases carbon dioxide emissions, sulfur oxide, and high-level nuclear waste. #cdrkingforenvironment
