TikTok launches Beauty Fest 2026 with Own Your Beautiful: The Glow Up Masterclass
The first place to look for a new serum, lipstick, or makeup trick isn't a store shelf anymore—it's a TikTok scroll. One minute you're watching a GRWM video, and the next you're saving a product recommendation from someone whose routine feels more like advice from a friend than a sales pitch.
That was exactly the energy behind TikTok Beauty Fest: Own Your Beautiful – The Glow Up Masterclass, which officially kicked off TikTok's flagship beauty campaign for 2026. Now in its second year, TikTok Beauty Fest continues to celebrate the many ways Filipinos discover, express, and define beauty through creators, community, and creativity.
The exclusive preview brought that familiar scroll-to-discover experience into real life. Instead of simply watching tutorials on a screen, attendees got to explore skincare, makeup, and content creation firsthand alongside some of TikTok's most influential beauty creators. It's the kind of event where you leave with a few new beauty tips—and probably a growing wishlist, too.
"Beauty on TikTok has evolved into more than just trends or tutorials--it has become a space where people can express themselves authentically and confidently, discover products that work for them, and connect with beauty communities around the world," said Zhi Wei Sok, General Manager, Global Business Solutions, Singapore and Philippines at TikTok.
"Through TikTok Beauty Fest, we're bringing together creators, brands, and communities to celebrate the many ways Filipinos define beauty while creating experiences that inspire discovery both on and off the platform."
The numbers show just how much beauty conversations have found a home on the platform. Around 80% of beauty enthusiasts on TikTok in the Philippines use it to discover and learn more about brands and products, turning comment sections and creator recommendations into spaces where trends, reviews, and routines are exchanged. More than half of beauty fans also say they're likely to follow creator recommendations, proving that authenticity often carries more weight than a polished ad.
Among the day's speakers was creator Gia Abao (@gianna.abao), who opened the program with a talk on beauty and confidence. Known for her educational content on public speaking, communication, and confidence building, Gia encouraged attendees to embrace their individuality through both beauty and content creation.
The conversation continued with the panel discussion, "Beauty Beyond the Shelf: How Communities, Creators, and Commerce are Shaping the Future of Beauty," featuring representatives from partner brands Unilever and Dermorepubliq. Together, they explored how brands are collaborating with creators and communities to build trust, spark authentic conversations, and redefine beauty discovery in today's digital landscape.
Of course, no beauty event feels complete without getting hands-on. Beauty creator Pau "Chikana" Pelaez (@paupelaez_) led the Own Your Beautiful: The Glow Up Masterclass, taking attendees through her personal skincare preparation routine using products from TikTok Shop before guiding them as they recreated her signature makeup look during the interactive Chikana Makeup Challenge.
Throughout the session, host and beauty creator Bello Rodolfo (@bellerodolfo) kept the energy light and engaging as Pau shared practical beauty techniques, creator tips, and confidence-building advice, encouraging everyone to embrace their unique features and express themselves authentically.
The event also highlighted how discovery increasingly leads straight to checkout. With 86% of beauty fans using TikTok Shop features and 69% purchasing through live commerce, TikTok Shop continues to blend entertainment with shopping through shoppable videos, affiliate content, and LIVE selling, making it easier for users to discover products that match their needs and preferences.
Beyond the makeup looks and skincare finds, TikTok Beauty Fest reflects how beauty has become more personal, more community-driven, and a little less about chasing perfection. Through Own Your Beautiful, TikTok continues to empower creators, foster authentic communities, and create experiences that celebrate the diversity of Filipino beauty, extending beyond the For You Feed and transforming inspiration into meaningful connections both online and offline.
Beauty enthusiasts can experience TikTok Beauty Fest: Own Your Beautiful on July 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at the One Ayala Activity Center in Makati City. The one-day event will feature creator meet-and-greets, interactive beauty experiences, exclusive brand activations, and exciting TikTok Shop offers—all bringing together the best of beauty discovery, creativity, and community in one immersive celebration.
