FS Cosmetics Long Last Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner | Nitty Gritty Reviews

Hey Guys! So for this post I will be sharing with you my two cents on the Fanny Serrano Long Last Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I've been using this ever since I got it and I am loving it. If you want affordable and easy to use liners, you have to read my review. Okay? ;)

On to the Nitty Gritty:

Fanny Serrano is a well known make up artist here in the Philippines and his product line, FS Cosmetics, is a wonderful local brand cause the products are high quality at an affordable price. ;) They are partners with the Fashion21 Cosmetics line and Aido Cosmetics, and I have seen them in mostly Robinson's Department stores, but they also have their own kiosks in various malls.

Packaging:

This is actually a pen liquid liner, housed in a black case with the FS logo at the end and the name clearly printed on one side, and on the other, the manufacturing date and the ingredients.

Variations:

This only comes in one color- Black. Which is such a shame cause it would've been cooler if it came in a myriad of colors like brown, green and blue... :D

Price and Where to Get:

This retails for 195Php, and can be bought in 45 FS Cosmetics and Fashion21 outlets nationwide, like Watsons and Robinson's Department Stores.
Coverage, Finish and Swatches:

This is a pen liner which in my opinion is perfect for beginners or for those who can't seem to get the perfect line with those brush liner thingys, cause it's easier to maneuver. It's also good for those who do their eye lining when in a hurry,  like in the car when your hubby is driving and it's on the stop sign of the stoplight. ;) (yes, for some of us it can't be helped.. but do it at your own risk hahaha!!)

As for the finish, it is a nice opaque matte black, which dries fast (like 30 seconds flat fast), which I like cause I'm not a fan of those glossy liquid liners. The claims of this is that it is long lasting, waterproof and you can make the finest of fine lines with it. Let's break it down okay?

Long Lasting: YES

I have tried this on while commuting and with all the perspiration and the oil build up, it didn't budge and it stayed on through out the whole day, like 8 hours. So it's really good!

Waterproof: NO

It's more on the water resistant side, not waterproof. the pictures will explain everything. ;)

*Run with Water

*scrubbed lightly

*Scrubbed heavily

Fine Lines: YES

You can easily make fine lines with this baby and it's real easy to control cause of the pen type packaging. A plus is that because of the felt tip, you can even let your imagination flow and do those paper lace lash patterns on your eyes, especially for avant garde makeup. Which is why I Lala LOVE it.

Tips and Tricks:

One downside to the liner is that when you use it over a line you've created and is already dry, it sometimes flakes off the first application, so instead of reapplication, I suggest you use black eyeshadow on top of the liner. Another downside to this liner is when you use this over eyeshadow, It goes perfectly on one eye then it dries up and you can't line your other eye so you have to swatch it over tissue so that the residue of the eyeshadows is removed and you can use it on the other eye.

Overall:

Repurchase? Oh Yes! This will be a definite staple in my travel kikay kit cause it's so convenient to use, is long lasting, water resistant, it's slim and travel friendly and budget friendly as well. One of the best things that I like about this is that it's easy to remove with a makeup remover so no tugging of the eyes.. YAY! ;) Even Ms. Jess Roque of Makeup Love said in her reviews that it may be a good dupe for those K-Palette liners that she absolutely adores.

I hope you liked my review and that you learned a lot with this...

Ngayon, Humayo kayo at bumili na ng FS Cosmetics Long Last Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner hehehe.. ;)

xoxo,

Nicole

  2. I love this product too!! Even if my eyelids are oily and my eyes usually tear up when I yawn (which is always, in class 😂), this eyeliner stays on and it's super affordable too! It's one of the best I've ever used! It's easy to correct at application and other beginners like me would surely love playing with this brush. :)

  3. Hi Myrtle, thanks for reading! I'm just a bit sad with this product when it dried out a bit faster than I had anticipated, or maybe because I was always using this? hahaha! :)
