REVIEW: COSRX AHA BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner

CosRX is one of the trusted K-Beauty brands for a couple of years now. I bought the Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner last December 2021 as a gentle way to hopefully lessen the whiteheads and blackheads. It was also my second venture into the whole chemical exfoliation, and after a few months of use here's my review:

Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner Claims

The Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner has a very low ph (4.00 ~ 5.00) and is said to be a very mild and hydrating toner that "can be used every day" to achieve even skin tone and texture. It has Willow bark water which helps to control oil and calms the look of redness. The Glycolic Acid is the one that brightens, exfoliates, and softens skin. It also has Betaine Salicylate for fighting bacteria and decongesting clogged pores etc.

Let me begin by describing my current skin conditions. I have an oily T-zone, dry cheeks, and dry patches near my nose and laugh lines when it is extremely cold. There are also obvious blackheads on my nose and a bit of large pores too.

I love how this is packaged, with a spray mist bottle unlike the Snailwhite Toner that I used to use. The mist gives an even application and it has no fragrance which is a plus for me. I incorporated it into my skincare with a 2x a week use, since it is an exfoliating toner, and I am scared of breaking my skin barrier if used daily.

With continued use, I found that my skin had a certain beautiful glow. My whiteheads and pores have minimized. On the days that I accidentally skip, my skin gets more dry patches so I can tell that regular exfoliation with the Cosrx AHA/BHA toner really helps my skin out. You would really have to use this product for longer than 1 month to see the changes it will make to the skin. 

On the photo above, I had a bit of a tan but you can definitely see on my nose area that the blackheads are not as visible, my skin is actually looking better last May 2022 unlike my pre-pandemic era :D Both are a no-makeup photo.

I stuck with this one mostly because of the non-fragrant factor. Also because of the ease of use. If I finish this one (and I'm around halfway there), I am definitely getting another one ASAP.

You can get this toner in Shopee, Lazada, leading department stores and drugstores nationwide. The Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner is actually on sale usually in shopee for 553 Php for 150ml. I'd say that's a great deal cause it usually is priced at around 800 pesos.

 

I recommend this with 4.5 out of 5 stars for the ease of use, non fragrance and effectiveness of the product. 

You would have to at least be using this for around a month, 2x a week to notice results, but OMG, the point that the blackheads and whiteheads are lessened especially when I apply makeup? It is so worth it. Plus the mist thing is really matipid since I've been using it regularly for around 7 months and I'm at less than halfway through the product!
