Quaker Oats Cream Pie Snacks: My First Oats Cookies!

Quaker Oats Cream Pie (27 of 27)

I've been experimenting with a lot of cookies and bread baking lately. But for some reason, this is my first time to make oatmeal cookies. Chef Miko Aspiras uses some rolled oats for his Quaker Cream Pie Cookies and since it came as a DIY Kit, my first try with making oat cookies is easier- no more measuring dry ingredients!

Here's what's in the Quaker Oats Cream Pie Recipe DIY Kit:

The box has everything the recipe calls for except the egg and the butter. I personally love Cream Cheese filling so I made that instead of the suggested Buttercream frosting and I made a couple of tweaks with my oats cookies as well. You also get your recipe card in the box, but if you're curious, here's the full recipe of the Quaker Oats Cream Pie

What I love about this cookie recipe is that there is not much measurement needed for this. The premixed cinnamon, nutmeg and clove in the jar is what gives the cookies that extra something aside from being sweet. Plus the addition of molasses is something I never thought I needed in ALL my cookie recipes! I'm now a convert! hahaha!

After the cookies are done, you have to let them cool down for 10 minutes on your baking tray before letting them cool completely on a wire rack. You can put them in the fridge too. They have to be really cool enough so that your buttercream icing or cream cheese icing will not melt in the center.

Alternatives/ My Tweaks to the Quaker Oats Cream Pie Recipe

And if you want something that's just mildly sweet, you can adjust the butter content from 1 and 1/4 cup into just 1 cup, and instead of using 1 egg I used 2 egg yolks for an extra savory taste without the water content loss. This is what I did since I know that my Cream Cheese Filling will give the needed sweet boost anyway.

If you wanna make this at home without the hassle of measuring and converting from cups to grams, you can preorder your own Quaker Oats Cream Pie Kit here!

The kit gives you the convenience of getting hard to find ingredients (or expensive ones) like molasses and heavy cream since they are already in the box. All you'll need to add is your eggs and 4 sticks of unsalted butter. I also found it easy to tweak to personal preference. I'm thinking about making another batch with some shredded carrots in them that will be perfect with the Cream Cheese Icing for the center that I made.

You can also make these by hand- no need to use mixers! Beating the butter will be a bit like making that Dalgona Coffee so if you've made that this recipe is a piece of cake- este cookies for you!

  15. Quaker Oats is my go-to brand for my oatmeal. It’s my post workout meal with fresh fruits and honey. Pero as much as I wanted to bake my own oats cookies para yun nakakainin ko after workout, di parin ako marunong 🥺 But this looks really easy to follow. I’ll try to bake again. It’s way easier talaga pag oat cookies eh tas kuha kuha nalang sa jar 😁
