Starbucks Philippines Invites Everyone to be a Community Champion This Global Month of Good

Doing good does not have to mean going all out or changing your entire routine. This year, Starbucks Philippines is making it feel a lot more doable with its Global Month of Good, inviting more Filipinos to join in and make a difference in their own small ways. The message is simple but empowering: anyone can be a Community Champion. From mindful daily choices to small acts of kindness, these little efforts can add up to something meaningful for the environment, your community, and the people around you. Turns out, doing good can fit right into your everyday lifestyle.

“Our local initiatives are grounded in the belief that meaningful change starts with strong community connections,” said Jamie Silva, senior manager for Marketing, Digital Customer Experience and Social Impact, Starbucks Philippines. “From education to disaster response initiatives and partner volunteerism, 2025 reflects how collective action can create lasting impact.”

In 2026, Starbucks Philippines is expanding its community impact initiatives through strengthened partnerships, improved access to essentials, and more opportunities for both partners (employees) and customers to take part in meaningful action.

Supporting Communities Where They Need the Most

Through its partnership with Planet Water Foundation and The Starbucks Foundation, it has already brought clean water access and hygiene education to around 42,400 people nationwide, with a ninth AquaTower set to be installed in Camarines Sur this April to reach about 7,000 more. The brand also continues its work with HOPE, with Starbucks partners coming together each year to build learning spaces for underserved communities. This April, a sixth public school classroom in Sarangani will be completed, giving students a safer and more conducive place to learn.

On the sustainability front, Starbucks Philippines is making smart moves in its own spaces too. By teaming up with MPower, around 60 Metro Manila stores will be powered under the Retail Aggregation Program, a step that is expected to improve operational efficiency while supporting long term sustainability goals. It is proof that small steps, whether in communities or in store operations, can add up to something bigger.

Continuing Efforts Powered by Volunteerism

Starbucks Philippines is keeping its community game strong through its Community Stores in Abad Santos, Tondo, and Maysilo Circle, where education programs with AHA! Learning Center, Young Focus Foundation, and Mano Amiga Philippines continue to make a real impact. So far, more than 1,500 learners have benefited from after school sessions, literacy activities, and leadership programs designed to boost confidence and keep students engaged. On another front, the brand is also tackling food insecurity through its FoodShare program, redistributing nearly 3 million rescuable food items from close to 300 stores nationwide with the help of The Philippine Food Bank Foundation and Grab Philippines.

And if you are wondering how to join in, it is actually pretty easy. This Global Month of Good, even your usual coffee run can count. Opt for for here ware or bring your own tumbler and score a PHP 10 discount while cutting down on waste. Small choices, but they do add up.

Simple actions, when done together, can create a meaningful impact over time. This Global Month of Good, everyone is invited to be a Community Champion. To learn more about the Global Month of Good, visit starbucks.ph/social-impact.
