Canon Philippines, City of Manila, and Henry’s Cameras Partner for Manila Zoo Photowalk 2025

There’s something magical about seeing the world through a lens—especially when it involves capturing stories beyond what meets the eye. That’s exactly what happened at the Manila Zoo PhotoWalk Contest 2025, where Canon Philippines, Henry’s Cameras, and the City of Manila came together for a day that celebrated both creativity and conservation.

With the theme “Moments at Manila Zoo: Capture the Beauty of Manila Zoo Through Your Lens,” the event drew in photographers and hobbyists of all levels, all eager to snap the zoo’s newly revitalized spaces, vibrant wildlife, and the little moments of wonder that make this landmark truly come alive again.

Photographers competed across three categories: “Wildlife Close-Ups,” “Zoo Life & Interaction,” and “Landscape & Flora.” Each theme encouraged diverse creative storytelling, challenging contestants to push the boundaries of composition, lighting, and originality. Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges based on technical excellence, creativity, and emotional impact.

During the September 30 awarding ceremony, Canon Philippines unveiled the winning images in a gallery-style exhibit inside the zoo. Each photograph was printed using Canon’s professional photo printing technology, showcasing the brand’s commitment to preserving memories through high-quality prints.

“We at Canon are proud to support initiatives like this, which nurture creativity, strengthen the photography community, and give permanence to the stories you capture,” said Canon Philippines President & CEO Anuj Aggarwal.

The Manila Zoo PhotoWalk 2025 underscores the company’s mission to empower Filipino photographers, foster community engagement, and promote a culture of photo printing in the Philippines.  By teaming up with Henry’s Cameras and the City of Manila, Canon Philippines continues to prove that photography isn’t only about taking beautiful shots; it’s about empowering communities, raising awareness, and preserving the culture and environment that inspire us every day.
