Baker Belles and their Triple Treats | iMunch

Baker Belles36
I love a good piece of dessert, basically cause I have a sweet tooth, or a whole set of sweet teeth, I guess... ;) Anyways, I came over the treasure that is the Triple Treat of Baker Belles and my kids, my pichi and me love it to bits!

But first things first- What are these Triple Treats that you talk of?

Baker Belles-1

It's this accidental success made by Baker Belle Meg, who had the idea of creating something unknown to the public. Think: A layer of scrumptious Walnut Brownies, then another layer of Butterscotch and topped with Marshmallow and chocolate chips. It's like a slice of pizza, but in dessert form. :)

And it's not just me who's addicted to this, but the whole family and all those who have taken a bite out of these goodies from the bazaars that they were sold to.

What if you're not into that whole brownie thing you say? They have other stuff, perfect for each and every tastebud out there...

Say you want something that's gonna be perfect for that cup of coffee or tea? Then you should go for the Cheesecake Sandwich Crinkles that are available in 2 flavors- Red Velvet which has caught my attention and the Ube Crinkles. The Red Velvet sandwich tastes like an actual red velvet cheesecake, and since I'm a sucker for the cheesecake, I'm pretty much hooked to this as well.

Baker Belles14
As for the Ube Flavored Crinkles, it was created under the connotation of "Ube Keso", and cause everyone in Meg's family loves purple yam. :D

Baker Belles11

For the cream cheese frosting that's wedged in between these crinkles, Baker Belle Meg said "I made a special cream cheese frosting na silky siya (in texture) that's just like a no bake cheesecake.. Kasi ayaw ko ng grainy na cream cheese frosting that's usually too sweet in taste, when it's not supposed to be like that. So I came up with my own recipe that will offset the sweetness of the crinkles kasi diba puro powdered sugar siya on top.."

Ah! So that's the secret to those yummy goodies...

Okay, who here loves cherries or Black Forest cakes? (raises hand and shouts ME! ) Now you can taste them in cookie crinkle form with their Black Forest Crinkle(12 pcs/Php240.00). This one's got some Marsachino Cherries to please your taste buds.

Baker Belles29

Or if you're a little more nuts, entertain your senses with their Nutty Surprise(12 pcs/Php240.00). It's a choco crinkle with a peanut butter filled center. For those who are into Reese's Peanut Butter cups, this one's made just for you!

Baker Belles21
They also have another out of this world crinkle known as the Coco Crazy(12 pcs/Php240.00). As I took a bite out of it, it reminded me of those times I would buy some macapuno at the bus stations, but this one's way better in texture, is wrapped in Belgian chocolate crinkle goodness and I guarantee you, it will take you back to your childhood. :D

Baker Belles32
And the classic chocolate crinkle comes in the form of Plain Jane(12 pcs./Php 145.00). That's the white one sandwiched in between all the other colored crinkles. But there's nothing plain about this crinkle as just like it's sisters, it's made with Belgian chocolate and is perfectly moist and chewey.

Baker Belles is Meg's vision coming to reality as she started to bake as early as 12 years old. So that's more than 10 years of baking expertise that's being handed in every  bite.

As she said so herself, ".. I'm the type of baker na super OCD. When I bake, I will not stop until I get the right sweetness, right flavor. There even was this one time I experimented on chocolate cake and hindi ako nasatisfy...I baked one recipe of chocolate cake a day, for a week. And yung mga kapatid ko and family ko nagsawa, and they ate chocolate cake for a year."

Baker Belles is named as such as Meg's tribute to her peers who have helped her and motivated her to continue what she does best. And since they're all girls... :) It's a home based bakeshop, situated in BF Paranaque. You can get yourself a treat from them, with a minimum of 12 pcs. per order, and have them delivered at your doorstep or meet the baker up in person. Meg was surprised with the response when she first launched it in a bazaar in World Trade Center cause they were sold out on the first day. I think it's because of the out of the box creations that Baker Belles did.

They do have promos right now for Valentine's Day like certain pick up points and free shipping for a dozen ordered treats around Metro Manila. And instead of the minimum 12, it's changed to 6, but just for the V-Day. Check out their Facebook Page for more details.
