What to do for Father's Day | The Mix

Father's Day
Father's Day is just around the corner and for this post I'll be sharing with you guys a list of things to do and places to eat to celebrate Father's Day. Enjoy!

    • For the simplest idea, you can create a DIY Card, preferably some sort of Collage and something that has your family picture.

    • Father's DayTo make it even more sentimental, serve your dad or Husband  Breakfast in bed, along with a personalized mug and pancakes... You can even decorate the pancakes with maple syrup or using a sterilized syringe without the needle and writing #1 DAD on them.

  • You can opt to buying your dad/husband/lolo that particular gadget instead of settling for the usual socks, just to make this time different.

  • Go on an out of town trip. Somewhere you can go on and rough it out a bit, like maybe in Casa Astillero, Calatagan Batangas or in Majayjay Falls where you can grab your tents and camp out under the stars, or stay in a resort like Batis ng Aramin (Lucban, Quezon) and enjoy the Wall Climbing, Rappelling and zip line rides, swim and have a cook out while enjoying the fresh air of the province.

  • IMG_9709Or you can go Glamping (I recommend Nurture Wellness Village in Tagaytay) and let your dad/husband/lolo enjoy nature while not worrying about who will do the dishes and relax.. Of course you can still do the camp fire thing with smores..

  • If you're not liking the long drive, there's always the Hotel Staycations to go for... Here's my friend Millie's post on Highly Recommended Staycations and Dining Treats for this year's Father's Day Celebrations.

  • How about having the dad on an all you can eat buffet- Your Treat of course! hehehe.. I recommend Sambokojin or Yakimix, Vikings and Buffet 101... Even Tramway along Roxas Blvd. for those on a tight budget.. :)

  • If you're still not sure where to go, you can Download or check out #Zomato as they have a Father's Day Collection list on places that's highly recommended by fellow foodies on the best place for Father's Day...

Or if you're out of budget and out of time, just show with your actions that you appreciate your dad/lolo/husband. I remember my parents everytime it's father's day or mother's day and I'd ask what they want, the only thing they'd tell me is:

"Basta magpakabait ka anak, masaya na ako at magandang regalo na yun."

:)

  2. Great tips. Ours is a simple lunch. A little of running around in the park. A quick dalaw sa church. Simple but super fun.

  13. My son and I bought practical gifts for my husband: a polo shirt and new handkerchiefs. He liked these Father's Day gifts, and he's now using them.

  14. When I was younger, I remember making a father's day card for my Dad. I wanted to write a long, heartfelt dedication yet somehow I always ended up with "Happy Father's Day, I love you" :D
